MUSIC FOR THEATRE

Wellington Barros works in theatre as a composer and musical director, creating music and shaping the musical dimension of performances in close dialogue with directors, performers and dramaturgy.

His work moves between composition, live performance, voice and musical dramaturgy, with music often becoming an active part of the theatrical language rather than a separate layer.

Since 2016, he has developed this practice extensively with AGORA Theater, creating music for productions presented in Belgium and internationally. His work includes Animal Farm, Jetzland, Die drei Leben der Antigone, Hannah Arendt auf der Bühne, Die freiwilligen Angsthasen, Das Geheimnis der wilden Gans and Only Flowers.

Each project below opens onto the performance itself, through selected trailers and audiovisual material.
