MUSIC
Piano, voice, Brazilian song and musical creation.
Wellington Barros works across piano, voice, arrangement and musical creation, with a strong connection to Brazilian song and a practice shaped by his experience in Brazil and Europe.
His musical projects move from intimate piano and voice performances to ensemble work, arrangements and original creations. He is interested in the meeting of different musical languages, bringing together Brazilian music, jazz, theatre and live performance.
His current work includes Tom em Trio, a project dedicated to the music of Tom Jobim, and Mandelay, which explores the music of Kurt Weill through a dialogue with Brazilian song, samba and jazz.
Alongside these projects, he develops original compositions and collaborations with musicians, singers and ensembles.
