Wellington Barros is a Brazilian musician, pianist, singer and composer based in Belgium. Working between music and theatre, he brings together piano, voice, musical direction, composition and performance, connecting Brazilian and European perspectives.
His musical training began in lyric singing at the University of Brasília and continued in choral conducting at the Royal Conservatory of Brussels, where he completed a Master’s degree. Since moving to Belgium, he has developed a diverse artistic practice across theatre, concert performance, Brazilian music, collective voice and interdisciplinary creation.
His projects range from solo performance and Brazilian song to musical direction, composition and work with actors, choirs and ensembles. His practice includes long-term collaborations with AGORA Theater, projects such as Mandelay and Tom em Trio, and original creations exploring voice, sound, memory and collective presence.
