Wellington Barros develops musical practices for actors and performers, exploring voice, rhythm, listening, movement and collective music-making.
The work starts from a simple idea: actors do not need to become musicians. They can use musical tools to become more aware of their voice, body, timing, presence and relationship with others on stage.
Through practical exercises, singing, rhythm, improvisation and listening, the workshops create a space where music becomes part of the actor’s creative process.
The approach is shaped by Wellington’s experience as a singer, choral conductor, pianist, composer and performer, as well as by his work in theatre.

A practical approach to musicality, helping actors develop greater freedom, awareness and presence on stage.
Personal experience can become musical material. Through voice, memory, stories and fragments of lived experience, performers explore how their own histories can inform presence, rhythm, character and collective creation on stage.
Workshops & collaborations
Workshops can be developed for theatre schools, professional companies, ensembles and individual performers. Each session is adapted to the needs of the group, the performers and the creative context.
The work can take place as a workshop, an atelier or as part of a rehearsal and creation process.
