AGORA THEATER
Since 2016, Wellington Barros has collaborated with AGORA Theater as musical director, performer and composer, developing projects at the intersection of theatre, collective creation and sound dramaturgy. His work within the company includes stage performance, original composition, vocal direction and musical creation for productions presented internationally in theatres and festivals across Europe.
Working between French and German, these collaborations explore relationships between voice, movement, listening and scenic presence within contemporary theatre practices. The projects developed with AGORA Theater combine musical dramaturgy, collective processes and interdisciplinary creation, often engaging young audiences through poetic and socially engaged forms of performance.
Only Flowers
A playful and poetic performance developed with AGORA Theater around the limitless questions of childhood, freedom and imagination. Combining movement, music and visual dramaturgy beyond language, the piece creates a scenic universe where sound, gesture and presence become forms of encounter and collective experience. Wellington Barros participates in the production as performer and musician, contributing to the musical and sonic landscape of the work.
Die Freiwilligen Angsthasen
A theatrical production developed with AGORA Theater combining performance, music and collective scenic creation. Presented internationally in both German and French, the project brings together movement, musical dramaturgy and stage presence within contemporary theatre for young audiences. Wellington Barros works in the production as performer and composer. The work received the Prix de l’adhésion du public at the Rencontres Théâtre Jeune Public de Huy in Belgium.
Hannah Arendt auf der Bühne
A contemporary theatre production inspired by the life and thought of philosopher Hannah Arendt, developed by AGORA Theater and presented internationally in German and French. The performance revisits themes such as democracy, exile, truth and political responsibility through a poetic dialogue between theatre, philosophy and collective memory. Within the production, Wellington Barros works as performer and musical collaborator, developing a scenic and musical language in dialogue with movement, text and stage presence.
