Là où nous sommes is a radio documentary by Aude Piette and Jérôme Mabille, exploring the story of Maria Sueli, who was forced into exile in Belgium after her involvement in the resistance against the Brazilian military dictatorship.

For the soundtrack, Wellington Barros works with Brazilian musical elements, field recordings and sound textures to create a sonic landscape around memory, displacement and the relationship between generations.

The project brings together voice, sound and music to explore what remains of a place when we leave it — and what we carry with us.
